World Missions
The Assemblies of God is one of the largest evangelical missionary-sending organizations in the world, with over 4,500 long- and short-term foreign missionaries serving in over 100 nations of the world. In addition, there are over 375 long-term nationally-appointed “home missionaries” serving within the United States.
Over twenty-nine long-term foreign missionaries from the Louisiana District Council of the Assemblies of God serve in countries around the world. Their ministries include everything from tent evangelism to bible school teaching to health care outreach to AIDS prevention to planting churches.
Several other Assemblies of God constituents from our district serve in organizations such as Wycliffe Bible Translators and Youth With A Mission (YWAM).
