With the Lord

Louie A. Earl
1919-2010
Brother Louie Earl went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2010. He was 90 years of age and had been ordained 56 years. The Earls were living in Van Buren, Arkansas to be near their family. He transferred to the Louisiana District from South Texas in 1952. Served as pastor of Hackberry Assembly of God, First Assembly of God, Westlake, First Assembly of God, Ferriday and Plain Dealing Assembly of God. He served on the Louisiana District Presbytery 20 years. He was presbyter of the Lake Charles, Wisner and Bossier City Sections. At the time of his home going he was an honorary member of the Louisiana District Presbytery.
His interest were always for the Kingdom and he had a heart for extending the work of the Lord at home and abroad. He had a great concern and part in building the district campground. Brother Earl was a counselor for many years in the camping program. Campers that are now across America have many fond memories and stories of Brother Earl in their Youth Camps years.
Survivors include his wife of almost 70 years, Eileen; daughter Kay Grizzle and husband, Steve both of Muldrow, OK; son Ken Earl and wife, Theresa of Greeneville, TN; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service was held in Van Buren with Reverend Andy Harris officiating.
Pallbearers were Jackie Earl, Michael Earl, Stephen Grizzle, Jason Rhoades, Travis Rhoades, and Keith Reynolds.
